Volunteers will receive a brief educational lesson on climate-smart farming practices and learn how to steward the land in an environmentally sustainable way at the Freetown Farm of Community Ecology Institute (CEI). They will also tend to produce plants. Freetown is the host site that teaches people how to sustainably garden and where the organization grows produce for local food pantries.
Please register for the event using the QR code or the link given in the flyer. Each volunteer needs to register separately. After registration, more details will be sent to you via email.
Event Duration: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
(30 minutes of additional time before and after the event is added to event registration for volunteers to complete the Check-in and Check-out.)

Volunteers need to do the following when coming to the farm: - Wear closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - Wear long, comfortable pants that you don't mind getting dirty - Hat (optional) - Gardening gloves (optional, can be provided if needed) - Bug spray (optional, can be provided if needed) - Sunscreen (optional, can be provided if needed)
