    Sewa International (Maryland chapter), Cherokee Lane Elementary School of Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS), and American Diversity Group (ADG) are collaborating for the school community to clean up the rain garden areas and the front of the school. This activity is supported by AmeriCorps for environmental stewardship and justice. Please bring your family members, friends, and neighbors to help protect the environment.

    Event Date: Thursday, August 1, 8-10 am 

    Please register for the event using either the QR code or the link given in the flyer and please mark your calendars. Each volunteer needs to sign up separately. Children under 16 years age need adult supervision.

    We are hosting an environmental exposition and partnering with the local community to spread environmental awareness. We want to encourage community members proactively make choices that aim to benefit the future of our planet. In honor of the tragedy that occurred on 9/11, and the actions of volunteers, first responders, and more, we are bringing together the community and strengthening our ties to protect the environment. The exposition is open to the public and all are encouraged to come, participate, and learn more about environmentally-friendly activities that can reduce further harm to the planet.

Outdoors, you will assist in beautifying the Garden and Orchard through activities such as harvesting, weeding, tree care, fencing and creating a walking path with mulch.
