Sewa Eco-Tour for Preservation! A responsible hiking tour with the goal of conserving the environment, promoting sustainability, and providing educational experiences. The primary focus of this eco-tour is on minimizing the impact on the ecosystems while fostering an appreciation for nature and biodiversity. Explore the Barnes Wildlife Preserve: Spanning 1,250 acres, this preserve stands as one of the last thriving wetland ecosystems in the heavily urbanized Central New Jersey. Recognized as the "Everglades of Central New Jersey," it holds the designation of a priority wetland by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Home to approximately 175 bird species, 25 mammal species, and 25 amphibian and reptile species. Celebrate April the Earth Month - Elevate awareness and advocate for initiatives centered around environmental conservation and sustainability. Cultivate environmental stewardship through diversification, education, and active involvement. Join Sewa International and the Edison Greenways Group as we collaborate for an AmeriCorps service event! Participate in a guided hike through the Barnes Wildlife Preserve Red Trail, actively engage in cleanup activities, and enjoy a bird-watching and educational nature tour. Discover the beauty of the Preserve while making a meaningful impact on environmental preservation. Together We Serve Better!
