Explore the Barnes Wildlife Preserve: Spanning 1,250 acres, this preserve stands as one of the last thriving wetland ecosystems in the heavily urbanized Central New Jersey. Recognized as the "Everglades of Central New Jersey," it holds the designation of a priority wetland by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Home to approximately 175 bird species, 25 mammal species, and 25 amphibian and reptile species.
